Bonny received her BSc in Physical Therapy Degree from McGill University. After working in numerous hospitals and private practices, she opened Pro Motion Physiotherapy in 1987.
Bonny’s post-graduate work has concentrated on orthopaedics, rheumatology and osteoporosis. She is passionate about blending research and practice to provide individualized and evidence-based treatment and is a strong supporter of professional development for all Physiotherapists, Massage Therapists and Exercise Professionals practicing at Pro Motion.
As Director, Bonny is responsible for the overall management, vision and direction of Pro Motion Physiotherapy. Quality Improvement is another one of Bonny’s passions as she always strives to provide the highest quality of care and customer service to every patient. This is achieved with a systematic approach to analyzing the clinic’s model of care and also listening to patients and staff.
Bonny is considered an expert in the field of osteoporosis. She has developed Osteo-Circuit™: a unique Physiotherapy Exercise and Education Program which started at Pro Motion and is now available in nine clinics in Ontario and one in the United States. A strong believer in evidence-based Physiotherapy, Bonny was involved in a research study with the University of Toronto which indicated that there was a statistically significant decrease in fall and fracture risk in the patients who adhered to the Osteo-Circuit™ program.
In addition to teaching the Osteo-Circuit™ Training Workshop for Physiotherapists, Bonny has provided lectures on osteoporosis at McMaster University and University of Toronto and has presented her research at conferences in Canada, the United States and England. An avid educator, she provides numerous talks to community and professional groups on osteoporosis prevention and management.
Bonny’s favorite activities include spending time with family, writing, exercise and travelling, especially if it involves an osteoporosis conference.
