Brheigh moved to Banff in 2015, shortly after completing her BA in International Development Studies at Dalhousie University. Despite being born and raised in a small and quiet Nova Scotian town, she felt drawn to the fast-paced and adventurous mountain lifestyle that mountains had to offer. After spending several years travelling and pursuing mountain hobbies, Brheigh felt called again to her passion for healing and wellness and to further her education. She enrolled in a four year intensive osteopathy program at the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy in January 2020, persevering through her program despite the global pandemic. She graduated in April 2024, as an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner. She is excited to extend her reach to the Golden Community.
Brheigh is a firm believer in the body’s innate ability to self-heal. Through gentle, non invasive manipulations she seeks to realign the body to create a more ideal environment for which the body to heal within. Throughout her investigative treatment process, she searches for the root cause of restrictions or symptoms that the patient is experiencing. In doing so, she strives to find a more permanent solution for the patient’s health. As a classically trained osteopath, she designs every treatment to cater to the unique needs of each individual patient. No two treatments are the same.
Brheigh also believes that health is a mindset, and that emotional well-being and physical health are closely related. She is just as passionate about restoring the patient’s faith in their own ability to self-heal as she is about facilitating health. Through patient collaboration and education, she aims to draw awareness to the power of the body to recover and thrive.
