Whether it be as an athlete, spectator, or coach, Brit has been involved in sports her entire life. Her passion for self-care through movement has driven her to obtain many certifications including yoga instructor (Modo, Yin, Flow), swimming instructor, and mat Pilates instructor. She completed her Doctor of Physiotherapy degree at the University of Melbourne in Australia in 2019, where she also realized her love for strength training and bodybuilding.
Brit believes that proper education, flexible goal setting, and patient-therapist collaboration are the keys to getting people back to the activities they love doing.
**Special Interests**
Brit loves working with shoulders, hips, and knees. Her primary focus is giving patients back their autonomy.
She uses manual therapy to support her more active approach to therapy. She loves to create custom treatment plans using her knowledge of strength training, yoga, and Pilates.
**Driving Force**
Brit believes that a successful therapeutic outcome is based on creating positive relationships with her patients. She loves to take the time to get to know who she's treating and integrates the entire person and their individual goals and lifestyles into her treatments.
Brit combines the latest evidence-based practices and her passion for easing people’s fear of movement to dispel the false narratives that commonly come with injuries.
**Fun Facts**
When Brit is not at the clinic or teaching at Modo Yoga, you can find her chasing around her two little girls. She also loves reading, playing basketball, lifting weights, and trying new local restaurants and cafes.
