As a highly experienced Registered Physiotherapist, Brooke is passionate about treating knee injuries, especially ACL tears and ACL repairs.
Since 2007, she has been dedicated to helping patients of all ages with various types of injuries recover and get back to the activities they love. Brooke's approach to physiotherapy combines education and exercise with hands-on techniques to guide her patients through their recovery. Having the experience of sustaining a major injury as a competitive athlete, Brooke understands the physical and emotional frustration that can go along with an injury and the desire to return to their sport.

Her interest in knees began from both her own experiences of receiving physiotherapy as a child and the research she conducted for her first Masters degree.
Brooke is knowledgeable in all aspects of ACL injuries, from prevention and rehabilitation to return to play.
Throughout her life, Brooke has been an avid sports enthusiast, participating in activities such as swimming, baseball, golf, badminton, skiing and curling. Her Queen's curling team medaled at the Ontario Universities Athletics (OUA) three years in a row. Nowadays, Brooke's sporting life has taken a backseat to exploring with her three young boys. She looks forward to getting back to the ice soon.

This specialized assessment is for both acute concussions and post concussion syndrome. This comprehensive, individualized assessments allows us to provide appropriate treatment and education to guide you through your recovery.
These sessions will involve a variety of techniques based on the findings of your assessment. We will progress through the stages of recovery to safely and efficiently get you back to your sports and daily activities.

Follow-up treatments are where we tackle the injury. Various hands-on treatment techniques will be utilized based on your goals and needs. Exercise based therapy will be an integral part of your sessions. These appointments are often booked weekly for several weeks. NOTE: please bring shorts/t-shirt
This assessment is meant for you if you have a simple injury. It is a short 45 min assessment that allows the therapist to start addressing your injury quickly, to answer your questions and get your rehab plan started. Please book at least 4 follow-up treatments (1-2/week) within the next few weeks after your assessment. NOTE: Please bring shorts if the therapist is looking at your back or lower body and a t-shirt if the therapist is looking at your upper body.
This assessment is meant for you if you have concerns, questions or are looking for guidance regarding low bone density, osteopenia and/or osteoporosis. The aim of this session is to explore your current routines, movement abilities and exercises practices and how they can be optimized to maintain your bone and overall health and quality of life. NOTE: Please bring/wear clothes that you are comfortable moving around in and indoor footwear.

If you are a runner who is injured, this assessment is for you. Your therapist will conduct an assessment of your injury and a global movement screen to determine other factors related to your injury. This assessment will be used to guide a treatment plan for return to running or running modifications. You will also receive an exercise plan along with a runner's report. Please book 2 additional runner's follow-ups each 1 week apart after the assessment. Bring shorts/tshirt/indoor running shoes. This will be billed under your physiotherapy insurance.
This is a unique assessment designed for anyone who is currently running and wants to address an injury and/or improve running biomechanics. This assessment involves a runner’s movement screen along with specialized video recording and analysis of your running form. This 1 hour assessment is billed under physiotherapy. NOTE: please wear/bring indoor running gear and all your current running shoes.
The Running Resiliency Program is a group class that will run for 3 consecutive weeks. It will be an in-person class on Wednesday evenings. Each class will be lead by both Francine and Joanna. This program was created to empower runners of all levels to not only improve performance but also build resilience when faced with injuries. The program integrates a combination of strength training, injury prevention strategies and recovery techniques to create a well-rounded and resilient runner.
This assessment is for clients that have been referred for shockwave by another physiotherapist or medical doctor for your specific injury. This gives our Radial Shockwave trained Physiotherapists the appropriate time to assess and treat your injury.

Shockwave is a treatment modality administered by the Physiotherapist for a variety of tendon, fascial and muscular injuries. These treatments are booked weekly for 3-4 consecutive weeks. Please wear appropriate clothing to allow access to the treatment area.
