Carla Centola, BSc, RD is a Registered Dietitian with the College of Dietitians of British Columbia. Carla graduated with an honours dietetics degree from the University of British Columbia, and did her dietetic internship with Fraser Health Authority. Since graduating, Carla has been exploring new ways to advocate for her clients and provide patient centered care and helping promote preventative measures.
Early in her career, Carla recognized the importance of preventative health, and decided to focus her practice on working with clients one-on-one. Carla has enjoyed working closely with clients living with Type 1, Type 2, Gestational Diabetes and Pre-Diabetes at Diabetes Health Centres for over 4 years. Through her work in this area, she helps many individuals who, besides living with diabetes, are also living with high blood pressure, high cholesterol, gut concerns and she works with them to find ways to navigate it all. She has also had a private practice for the past 4 years, focusing on group education and one-to-one client care, promoting how to build balanced meals, hormone balance, nutrition in pregnancy, meal planning and working with individuals on education around how mental health and our eating habits influence each other more than we realize. She practices with a body-positive approach and loves to navigate how to meet your nutrition and health related concerns, while encouraging you to include foods that you enjoy.
Carla is passionate about science backed nutrition and is excited to advocate for addressing your nutrition concerns. She's looking forward to working with you and empowering you on your journey.
