AjouterCarla (she/her) is a Registered Social Worker licensed to practice in Ontario (OCSWSSW), Nova Scotia (NSCSW), and to offer virtual care to residents of Newfoundland and Labrador (NLCSW). She has been in clinical practice over 15 years.
Carla has a Bachelor of Social Work and a Master of Social Work both from the University of Windsor (Ontario).
Carla’s clinical practice is trauma informed. Her approach to supporting clients draws from a variety of modalities for which she is trained to ensure the best fit for clients needs. This includes Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Eye Motion Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) are the offered trauma specific modalities.

Carla works exclusively in a virtual practice at this time with adults (18+). Services provided are for a variety of concerns, including complex trauma (including domestic violence), anxiety, depression, adjusting to life changes (i.e. chronic conditions, relocations, parenthood), and personality disorders. Beyond her clinical training, Carla's own identities and experience inform her work within the 2SLGBTQI population and with members of the Canadian Armed Forces (Blue Cross Provider for CAF and VAC). She is a military spouse, a mother and a lifelong learner.
