Carly Coxford
Carly is a compassionate and dedicated clinical social worker with 20 years of experience in the helping profession. Having worked in public, private, and community settings, she brings a well-rounded perspective, and a deep understanding of the diverse challenges people face.
Driven by a deep passion for helping others, Carly supports people in navigating challenges, embracing personal growth, and stepping into their fullest potential. She offers a caring, non-judgmental presence and works collaboratively with clients, creating a safe and welcoming space where they feel comfortable opening up, sharing their experiences, and working together toward positive change.

Her areas of focus include behavioral challenges, school difficulties, peer relationships, self-esteem, anger, anxiety, depression, self-harm or suicidal thoughts/behaviors, substance use, LGBTQ+ support (including questioning sexual identity or orientation), and trauma. Carly also has expertise in working with families to strengthen parent–child relationships, foster secure attachment, improve communication, and establish healthy boundaries, discipline, and structure.
Carly believes in being adaptable, tailoring her approach to the unique needs of each client. She draws from a range of evidence based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, Strengths-Based approaches, and Solution-Focused Therapy. Alongside traditional talk therapy, Carly often incorporates worksheets, games, and art into her sessions, offering creative and interactive ways to support growth and engagement.
She obtained her Bachelor‘s degree in Human Relations at Concordia University and her Master‘s degree in Social Work at McGill University. She is a member of the Ordre des travailleurs sociaux et des thérapeutes conjugaux et familiaux du Québec (OTSTCFQ).
