Carol is a warm, welcoming, and compassionate registered massage therapist with an interest in women’s health. Coming from a dance background, Carol believes that movement should never be taken for granted, and should be celebrated!
In her Swedish, Deep Tissue, and Prenatal Massage treatments, you can expect Myofascial Release, Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitated Stretch, Range of Motion, Trigger Point Therapy, with additional modalities such as Cupping or Lymphatic Drainage when needed.
Carol believes that Massage provides solutions to helping you find comfort and ease through your body as you move about your day. She believes in approaching her work mindfully, and always invites her clients to reconnect with their mind and body during treatment. She is delighted to be part of the Oona team, and cannot wait to see how she grows working and learning in such a wonderful environment.

Breast Massage is beneficial in many ways. Breast massage can help treat or prevent blocked ducts and reduce some of the swelling, pain and discomfort associated with breastfeeding and the postpartum phase. Breast Massage can be an effective complementary treatment with Ultrasound therapy for a blocked milk duct. Not just for nursing moms, breast massage can result in decreased breast discomfort associated with menstrual cycles, increased lymphatic / immune function and even help with shallow breathing. We also highly recommend breast massage for anyone recovering from chest or breast surgery. Please note, blocked ducts are usually caused by an improper latch which results in baby not draining the breast properly. We also recommend an assessment by one of our lactation consultants if you are concerned that you have a blocked duct. Please note that if you have a fever, you should contact your doctor as you may have mastitis. We recommend bringing your baby with you to this appointment, as we recommend nursing immediately after the treatment, in an effort to fully drain the duct. Very wee ones will likely be fine to stay in the room with you during the treatment. Please note that our massage prices include all applicable taxes, and our practitioners do not accept tips.

This 90 min Mom & Baby treatment will be a great opportunity to treat both as a dyad; offer skin to skin time while mom receives massage (either side lying or on their backs); helping both co manage emotional and hormonal regulation. Your RMT will customize the appointment based on who presents with what needs. If they see babies with nursing struggles, whose Mom is stressed and struggling themselves; they'll take care of the little first then but the Mom is treated to help reduce their stress levels. There’s a direct relationship between moms stress levels and their milk production. Also, if baby gets treatment, feeds, sleeps and gives mom a chance to chill, that’s great too. This treatment will be billed as a 60 min RMT treatment in the Mom's name and a 30 min RMT treatment in the baby's name for insurance purposes.
