Carolynn Archibald
AjouterCarolynn is one of our Senior Clinical Registered Psychologists with the College of Alberta Psychologist. She completed her Master’s Degree through the Department of Educational Psychology at the University of Alberta. Carolynn also completed all of her coursework towards her Doctoral degree at the University of Alberta with a specialization in advanced assessment of children, adolescents, and adults.
Carolynn has had the privilege of supporting children, adolescents and their families for almost 20 years. She has worked in a variety of settings including hospitals, private practice, and extensively in schools. Carolynn’s practice is focused on providing comprehensive assessments in the areas of cognitive/intellectual challenges, giftedness, learning disabilities, attentional difficulties, emotional struggles, and behavioural challenges with children. She is also able to provide PDD assessments to help with transition plannint to adulthood. Carolynn’s goal is always the same: to help families develop a better understanding of their child’s strengths and needs, and to provide meaningful and thoughtful recommendations to help their child reach their full potential. Carolynn takes great care in building trusting relationships with families through the assessment process, and is skilled at communicating results into understandable language in an empathic manner.

When she is not at work Carolynn loves traveling and pursuing outdoor activities with her husband, three teenagers and dog. She also plays volleyball and is committed to all crime dramas on Netflix. For many years Carolynn has been involved with a local charity in Edmonton that is focused on providing clean water access, food security, and healthcare to remote areas of Central America.

For parents or caregivers of at least one child aged 0–6 years old. 8 engaging sessions with practical tools and group discussion, taking place every Friday from October 3rd to November 28, excluding Halloween, from 6:30-8pm. Cost $760 per parent/caregiver. Includes the equivalent of 12 hours of sessions for the cost of 3! Most insurance plans cover a portion of each session ($95/session). The same parent must attend all 8 sessions. You will be billed on the first session date.

This is the first session to book to discuss the assessment steps and processes and gather initial necessary information to determine the assessment details and medical history. These costs are approximates only: Approximately $2800 for a Comprehensive psycho-educational and ADHD Approximately $3800 for Autism assessment Mental Health is determined after the interview Academic $1200 WISC and Vineland The actual costs will be determined after the initial interview. An invoice explaining the assessment steps and tools to be used will be shared with you prior to moving ahead for your approval.

This workshop is for kids aged 9-12 years. It is 6 weeks on Saturdays from 1:30-3:00pm. The purpose of the workshop is to teach emotional regulations skills through movement. A tool they can take home and use immediately.
