Neurofunctional Acupuncture is a modern treatment that uses thin acupuncture needles and gentle electrical stimulation to target specific nerves and muscles. This helps restore normal movement, reduce pain, and support healing. It combines traditional acupuncture with the latest understanding of the nervous system, making it especially effective for treating acute injuries, chronic pain, and nerve-related issues. Please Note: Our practitioners incorporate neurofunctional acupuncture as part of a comprehensive treatment plan tailored to your individual needs. This modality cannot be scheduled as a stand-alone appointment and will only be provided within a treatment session when clinically appropriate.
**Redcord Therapy (Neurac Method)** is an advanced physiotherapy treatment approach that uses a suspension system of ropes and slings to support the body during exercise and rehabilitation. By partially unloading body weight, the Redcord system allows physiotherapists to target specific muscles and movement patterns with greater precision while reducing strain on injured or painful areas. During a Redcord session, a registered physiotherapist guides patients through controlled exercises while the body is supported in the suspension system. This setup helps activate stabilizing muscles, improve neuromuscular control, and correct dysfunctional movement patterns that may be contributing to pain or injury. Redcord therapy is commonly used to treat conditions such as back and neck pain, shoulder injuries, hip and knee dysfunction, and post-surgical rehabilitation. The treatment focuses on restoring proper muscle activation, improving stability, and enhancing overall movement quality to support long-term recovery and injury prevention. Because Redcord therapy is delivered by a **Registered Physiotherapist**, it falls within the scope of physiotherapy practice in Ontario and is integrated as part of a personalized rehabilitation plan based on the patient’s assessment and functional goals.
