Chelsea Gimby is a Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Acupuncturist with 18 years of experience.
Chelsea's interest in Traditional Chinese Medicine began when she sustained a serious back injury while studying modern dance. After years of trying different treatments to relieve her back pain she decided to try Acupuncture. Within three months of treatment she was pain free.
Inspired she began her studies.....
Chelsea completed her 4 year Traditional Chinese Medicine Diploma in 2006 from the Canadian Collage of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Her training included a 9 month internship in Xian China.
Chelsea’s main focus is Classical Chinese Medicine, specializing in the treatment of physical, mental and emotional pain, hormonal imbalances, neurological issues and preventative medicine.
Chelsea’s approach is to tailor the treatment to improvement of overall health and well being of the individual, rather than simply treating the presenting illness or symptom.
Chelsea’s scope of practice includes:
Acupuncture and moxabustion, Twina (Chinese style massage), Reflexology, Cranial Sacral Therapy, Diet therapy and Qi Gong.
In 2022 Chelsea added Neuroptimal Neurofeedback to her practice. Neurofeedback is a technology that works with the Nervous system and brain and is used for TBI’s, neurodivergence such as ADHD and Autism, and chronic stress.

Introduction to NeuroSpa, 15 min taste. The NeuroSpa helps achieve a deep state of relaxation at a deep level of the body. This Canadian developed technology uses a combination of vibro-acoustic stimulation, light and music married together to promote a state of complete physical and mental well-being. The relaxed position of the zero-gravity chair evenly distributes your body weight. Not only does this provide a very comfortable position to enjoy your session, it also helps promote better blood circulation while decreasing blood pressure. Soft sensations help stimulate the body and then move into the acoustic frequency which will communicate with the nervous system to help relieve tension and stress. Specifically programmed coloured lights and soothing music flow with the vibrations for an unforgettable experience.
NeurOptimal is a neurofeedback technology that monitors and analyzes real-time brainwave activity using EEG sensors placed on the scalp. NeurOptimal uses a unique algorithm that identifies when the brain is producing suboptimal patterns of activity that can manifest as anxiety, depression, or other issues. The technology prompts the brain to self-correct these patterns by feeding back gentle interruptions in the form of audio feedback. The audio feedback sounds like brief skips or interruptions in the sound and helps the brain reset and self-optimize.
In Western Reiki, it is taught that Reiki works in conjunction with the meridian energy lines and chakras through the use of the hand-positions, which normally correspond to the seven major chakras on the body. These hand-positions are used both on the front and back of the body, and can include specific areas (see localised treatment). According to authors such as James Deacon, Usui used only five formal hand-positions, which focused on the head and neck.[89] After Reiki had been given first to the head and neck area, specific areas of the body where imbalances were present would then be treated.[89]The use of the chakras is widespread within Western Reiki, though not as much within Traditional Japanese Reiki, as it concentrates more on treating specific areas of the body after using techniques such as Byosen-hō and Reiji-hō, which are used to find areas of dis-ease (discomfort) in the auras and physical body.
