Dr. Christina is a Doctor of Acupuncture - a registered acupuncturist & member with the CAA (College of Acupuncturists of Alberta). She is originally from Calgary and began her post-secondary in 2009 at Mount Royal University, first studying: Communications and Social Work.
Wanting to help others through connection and bridging east and west modalities - she found herself returning to the medicine of her roots & childhood.
She received her training in Traditional Chinese Medicine and lived on beautiful Vancouver Island for about a decade. She received her Diploma of Acupuncture at Pacific Rim College, in Victoria B.C & successfully completed the Pan-Canadian licensing exam.
Dr. Christina approaches each treatment with gentle care, active listening, an open mind & heart. In treatment, she looks through the lenses of: classical Traditional Chinese Medicine theory, 5 Element theory, orthopedics and traumatology. Oftentimes blending the lenses and using traditional + modern techniques in practice. Some of which include: traditional needling techniques combined with motor points, auriculotherapy, cupping, gua sha, food as medicine (Shi Liao) and self-care/ lifestyle recommendations.
Below are some areas of interest and experience in treating:
- Cosmetic Acupuncture (AcuSculpting) - all things skin related: bringing vitality to facial tissues for wrinkles, fine lines, scars & eczema
- MSK (musculoskeletal): sciatica, neck and back pain, RSI (repetitive strain injuries: like tight forearms from power tools or playing an instrument), MVA (whiplash), acute & chronic injuries
- Mental emotional health: when things are just to dang overwhelming, the grieving process, depression (PMDD), burnout + addictions
- Women’s Health (all stages from: period pain, fertility, birth induction to post partum, to perimenopause and menopause)
- Men’s Health (hair growth, genitourinary discomforts (e.g. prostatitis or hematospermia)
- Digestion (nausea, IBS, Crohn’s & constipation)
- Circulatory issues (cold feet from sitting at a desk job or Raynaud’s)
- Chronic Pain
- Immune or Autoimmune (common colds, allergies, alopecia, supporting symptoms of underactive/ hyperactive thyroid + supporting cancer patients on their break from chemo + radiation)
When she’s not providing care in clinic-space, Christina is deepening her yoga practice, enjoying nature & the elements, dog-sitting and (likely) curled up to a good book.

Utilizing fire & glass cups, a vacuum is created in the glass cup – we will use the negative pressure to encourage circulation for tired, overworked and tight muscles. Cups will either be stationary or dynamic-cupping will be applied to the affected TCM channels. Can be helpful in the initial stages of a common cold, when chills and achy muscles ensue.

Select 1 area of focus: Superior: Face + Scalp, Anterior: Abdomen, Breast(s) & legs & Posterior: hips, thighs & buttocks. AcuSculpting is a specialized cosmetic acupuncture protocol designed to shape, lift, tighten and firm the skin on face & body. In our first session, we will discuss one area of focus (e.g., minimizing the appearance of fine lines on the face, stimulating hair growth on scalp, fibrocystic breast(s), scars/ hyperpigmentation, cellulite on legs and etc.). This type of treatment is supportive for those who experience TMJ, jaw clenching, chronic migraines and headaches. Once the acupuncture needles are inserted (& Celluma LED light is placed over the area of focus), we will finish with a hot towel treatment and either silicone cupping and/ or Gua Sha. The LED light add-on promotes cellular proliferation, collagen synthesis and helps with the reduction of inflammation. For chronic areas, a minimum of 10 treatments is advised.

NADA protocol – a total of 10 acupuncture points (5 tiny needles inserted on each ear). This standardized auricular acupuncture has many applications but particularly for: addiction support (e.g., substances (alcohol, smoking, recreational drugs, food and habits)), pain management for those undergoing cancer treatment, for mental calmness from stress and anxiety. Depending on the reason for the visit, Dr. Christina may select an extraordinary vessel to go along with NADA protocol - which would be a total of 4 extra acupuncture points on the extremities.
