Christine grew up dancing and has experienced a variety of injuries herself as a result. She is no stranger to the rehabilitation process. Recovering from her own injuries is what initially piqued her interest in working in the rehabilitation field, so she decided to enrol in the Registered Massage Therapist program at WCCMT.
Christine has experience working with a varied clientele. She has had the opportunity to work with varsity athletes at the University of British Columbia and Douglas College. She has also worked with athletes participating in the Rugby Sevens tournament in Vancouver. Christine also has experience working with clients with Multiple Sclerosis and providing pre- and post-natal massage therapy for women experiencing pregnancy related symptoms.
Christine believes that all patients deserve and need a specific treatment and plan. She incorporates light to deep Swedish massage technique, trigger point release and pin and stretch techniques but is not limited to other techniques such as fascial release, passive and active stretching and strengthening.
Outside of work, Christine enjoys her time in the gym, playing piano, spending time with her family and friends, exploring beautiful port moody, and occasional dancing in front of her bathroom mirror.
