Menopause (including perimenopause) is a stage of life marked by hormonal changes—particularly a decline in estrogen—that significantly affects your body’s muscles, joints, and bones. These changes may lead to reduced bone density, loss of muscle mass and strength, joint pain, fatigue, and decreased overall function. In fact, many women experience new or worsening musculoskeletal symptoms during this time, even when imaging like an x-ray doesn’t clearly explain what's going on. Physiotherapy can play a central role in managing these changes. Treatment focuses on reducing pain, improving strength and mobility, and supporting better movement. It can also help improve sleep, reduce fatigue, and build confidence with movement. There is clear evidence that staying active is important for women who want to maintain bone and muscle health, and continue doing the activities they enjoy during and after menopause.
Follow-up visits are for individuals who have already completed their Menopause Physiotherapy assessment with our physiotherapist and are continuing their care plan. These sessions focus on progressing your treatment, building strength and mobility, addressing ongoing symptoms, and adjusting your program as needed to support lasting improvements in function, confidence, and overall well-being.

This appointment is a follow up to your Physiotherapy Initial Assessment appointment
Sports Physiotherapy Follow-Up appointments are designed for patients who have already completed a Sports Physiotherapy Assessment. These sessions focus on progressing your recovery or performance plan based on how your body is responding to training and treatment. Your physiotherapist will refine movement, progress exercises, and address any new or ongoing symptoms to keep you moving forward safely and efficiently. Your personalised plan will be updated in the MoveHealth app, allowing you to review changes, follow your exercises with video guidance, and track progress between appointments. These appointments are ideal for athletes and active individuals who want structured, goal-focused support throughout their return to sport or ongoing training.
Designed for active individuals and athletes, our Sports Physiotherapy Assessment goes beyond a standard physio appointment by focusing on how your body moves, performs, and handles training loads—not just pain or symptoms. Your assessment includes a sport-specific injury and movement assessment, a clear explanation of findings and contributing factors, and a personalised rehabilitation or performance plan. You’ll also receive personal access to the MoveHealth app, where you can view key details from your assessment, follow your customised exercise program with video guidance, and track your progress between appointments. This assessment is ideal for athletes, active individuals, and anyone returning to sport or training with confidence.
