Cindy completed her BSc in Kinesiology at Simon Fraser University in 2008 and began her
career as a Kinesiologist working alongside occupational therapists and physiotherapists,
specializing in active rehabilitation for various musculoskeletal disorders. With the influence of
her roots and culture, Cindy decided to further her education with training in Traditional Chinese
Medicine (TCM) and attended the International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine
Vancouver all the while continuing her work as a Kinesiologist.
In her practice, Cindy emphasizes the importance of the inter-connection of mind, body, and
spirit to reach a state of true harmony and well-being. She stresses the importance of
understanding the unlimited possibilities of the mind and body but also realizing the limitations
by paying close attention to the subtle cues from the body. Each treatment focuses not only the
manifestation of the disease but also the underlying cause. Cindy believes the combination of
acupuncture and other treatment modalities to help her patients to achieve their ultimate health
and wellness goals.
While Cindy is trained in treating variety of disorders, her areas of interest are in pain
management, muscular-skeletal disorders, women's health, infertility, skin disorder and mental
health. She employs a variety of techniques and skills including electro-acupuncture, cupping,
auricular and scalp acupuncture.
