**Colin has worked with active clients for over 12 years, joining Cove Sport in 2019**. Colin helps optimize ability and health by using performance training principles and hands-on techniques.
Colin is passionate about helping clients return to competition or their typical training. He enjoys working with athletes of all ages and abilities, especially those clients who wouldn’t call themselves “athletes”.
**Colin developed SMART STRIDE** – a physiotherapy running program to safely improve running ability/performance.
Away from the clinic, Colin can be found chasing his toddler Noah with his wife Catherine.

– Masters of Clinical Science (Manipulative Therapy, Western University 2019). Completed research in conjunction with the Fowler Kennedy Sports Medicine Clinic involving Return to Sport guidelines post-ACL Reconstruction.
– Masters of Science in Physiotherapy, Dalhousie (2013).
– Bachelor of Kinesiology (Hon), Memorial University (2011).
– Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy (FCAMPT) – an accreditation signifying completion of extensive post-graduate orthopedics education and achievement of an internationally-recognized qualification in hands-on manual and manipulative therapy.

Physiotherapy led compression treatment.
This session is where we get to know you and determine the best course of action to move you closer to feeling better! Assessment of area of concern whether it is a new or existing injury, pain or weakness. This can include movement assessment, strength assessment, balance assessment, general health review, goal setting, exercise prescription and hands on treatment as required. Expect to move around so bring comfortable clothing like shorts and athletic footwear. Home exercise and mobility program will be created with you.
A 45-60 minute video consultation. A Physiotherapy assessment and treatment completed online. You will meet with your therapist, go through a detailed assessment through speaking and movement instructon. You will be educated on assessment findings and led through self treatment. You will have one on one time with your therapist to answer all of the questions you may have about your issue. This service is appropriate for new assessments, as well as for follow ups to in clinic assessments for self care and exercises review and progression. If your therapist suggests that hands on treatment is necessary, they will help you book an in clinic visit at our facility, or at a clinic near to you if our location is not close to you when public health allows. You will be emailed a link to our clinic, which will allow you to join us in our virtual clinic. Please don't hesitate to email with any questions you have about this service.
Included in a SMART STRIDE assessment is a detailed physiotherapy subjective and objective examination for current or past injury concerns to achieve a running-specific goal. Also included is a running-specific assessment of movement patterns, strength levels, and injury-specific special tests to determine an appropriate training program. A running program will be provided based on assessment findings and patient goals. Programs include suggested weekly training frequency, total volumes, and paces. Subsequent appointments are suggested to ensure a safe progression through provided programs and to rehabilitate/prevent injuries as indicated.
