Craig Malone, RMT
Craig is a Registered Massage Therapist whose work is centred on myofascial and neurologically informed care, with a focus on addressing complex patterns of tension, restriction, and chronic pain. He brings a thoughtful, clinically grounded approach to treatment and is particularly well suited to working with clients experiencing more complex or longstanding physical concerns.
Craig’s approach is informed by the understanding that chronic stress, trauma, and anxiety can alter the body’s physical baseline over time. As the system adapts to repeated activation, the body may become conditioned toward hyperalertness, muscular guarding, and fascial restriction, leaving clients with persistent tension, pain, and difficulty relaxing fully. Through myofascial release and neurologically informed massage therapy, Craig works to gently address these ingrained patterns, helping to reduce restriction, improve mobility, and support a more settled and regulated physical state.

His work reflects a high level of precision and care, with treatment tailored to the individual patterns each client presents with. Rather than taking a generalized approach, Craig works thoughtfully with the body’s connective tissue system to identify areas of restriction and persistent holding that may be contributing to pain, dysfunction, or reduced ease of movement.
As part of a trauma-focused clinic, Craig provides massage therapy within a trauma-informed framework that emphasizes pacing, client comfort, and close attention to the body’s responses throughout treatment. He understands that for many people, physical symptoms are not separate from stress or trauma, but part of how those experiences are carried in the body.
At Genovese Trauma & PTSD Recovery, massage therapy is intentionally offered as part of an integrated model of care. For many clients, massage can be a meaningful complement to psychotherapy and other therapeutic supports, particularly when stress, trauma, or emotional strain are also being held physically in the body. Many clients choose to coordinate massage appointments alongside their therapy sessions to support a more cohesive and comprehensive treatment experience.
