Crystal uses a specific, and mindful approach to Massage Therapy by highlighting body awareness. She encourages her patients to tune in to their own mind-body connection. Individual needs and preferences are are curated with an open communication and treatment plans are agreed upon as a team, between the patient and therapist. Some of the modalities commonly used in Crystal's Treatments. include: Swedish, Myofascial, Trigger point, Craniosacral, Treating the Fascial body, Neuromuscular, Perinatal, MET and Joint mobilizations, to name a few.
Crystal began her practice in 2017, following the Massage Therapy Program at WCCMT. She has experience treating a broad variety of injuries and conditions, as she began her first Placement at a Physiotherapy Clinic in East Vancouver.
With a keen interest in perinatal care, she was led to work with Elizabeth Martin RMT, and Doula at The Amethyst Healing Retreat. Access to a larger population of perinatal patients, allowed Crystal to gain hours working with patients throughout pregnancy and support optimal healing following birth.
Crystal attended Heather Gittens’ teachings at The Bodhi Tree, which offered unique ways to assess and treat the female pelvis, which included visceral manipulation for the uterus and the bladder. These new manual skills offered support for Women’s issues involving pelvic pain and conditions connected to inflammation, scar tissue and misalignment of the pelvis.
Therapy Health Studio in Mount Pleasant, broadened Crystal's case load to urban athletes, health care professionals, trades people, children, teens, seniors and desk workers.
In 2022 Crystal joined Elizabeth Israel RMT, a long time friend and colleague, at Paper Crane Massage Therapy. Crystal enjoyed gaining experience learning how to build the foundation of the new clinic.

Within the last five years, Crystal has had the opportunity to work with an increasing number of patients affirming their gender through top surgery. Although able to support patients in many ways that were indeed beneficial, Crystal was keen to seek out more education surrounding these types of surgeries and how best to use massage therapy to facilitate healing. It was apparent that the demographic of top surgery patients in Vancouver, had been wildly underserved, due to lack of rehabilitation education, or resources by surgeons, or uncertainty in finding a supportive and comfortable space for massage treatments. In 2025 Crystal attended an intensive, three level course with the mastectomy guide led by Eryn Price. This is the leading course for Massage Therapists to learn about many types of chest, breast and oncology surgeries and how to treat them, including complicated cases. It is a joy to observe individuals through their healing journey and to help create more comfort and ease while they come back home into their bodies, hopefully, feeling a bit more like themselves.
In her spare time Crystal enjoys foraging, skateboarding, crafting, cycling, swimming in the ocean, snowboarding, sewing and observing the phases of the moon.

Initial appointments please book here! This will give plenty of time for Administration, Assessment, treatment and home care. This is the standard time chosen for a massage therapy treatment. Enough time for one or two areas to be addressed. or A full body relaxation massage using Swedish massage techniques and/or Craniosacral Therapy. Please note: A full body relaxation massage is non-specific and does not include other modalities that would require a more detailed assessment. The purpose of this type of treatment is to stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system to promote the body to a "rest and digest" state.
Enough time for a full body treatment with up to three areas of focus. or Full body relaxation massage with some Craniosacral Therapy to balance the nervous system.
Enough time to have multiple areas/ concerns addressed in detail and a full body treatment that will have you floating out on a little puffy cloud (figuratively). or For patients with very tight areas that need more time to release fully.
Massage treatment to support the body through the journey of pregnancy and to rehabilitate the body after birthing. With a specially designed pregnancy pillow, you can now relax in a wonderful face down position that takes the pressure off of the low back while supporting the belly in a safe and comfortable way. Treatment my address a number of things that can occur while the body changes such as tight shoulders , neck and back, rib pain, sciatic like symptoms, carpal tunnel symptoms and even swollen feet! Take a moment to relax and feel like you are floating out on a little puffy cloud.
Visceral Massage treatment helping to addresss conditions and symptoms related to the pelvis and lower abdomen. Treatment may be indicated for dysmenorrhea (painful periods), menstrual dysfunction, C-section scarring and post abdominal surgery scars, Endometriosis, UTI's, interstitial Cystitis, PCOS and other pelvic inflammatory conditions. With a combination of visceral massage and facial release to the uterus and bladder via the lower abdomen externally, the patient receives a gentle assessment which uses listening techniques that stem from Craniosacral Therapy. Other areas that may be treated include joints and muscles of the hips, gluteals, lower back and legs as well as support for the nervous system. This is a gentle and slow treatment that is never forced and always uses an open line of communication and reconfirmed consent between Patient and therapist.

This treatment is indicated for gender affirming top surgery ( masc, femme, non-binary ), breast reduction, breast augmentation, ex-plant and oncology patients. These treatments are very gentle, supportive and intentional, leading always, with nervous system support. Although gentle and aiming to be pain free, the techniques used are effective and don't push the body faster than it is ready. Some concerns which may be addressed are: lymphatic drainage, circulatory improvement, reducing fascial restrictions, breath work, scar mobility and quality, as well as restoring range of motion for the neck, chest trunk, arms and shoulders. There is space for you to tell your story, the details of your surgery, what your experience has been leading up to and after. Space to be heard with compassion and patience is how we begin, which will guide the assessment and the documentation of where we are starting from so we can see all of the improvements along the way. Consent is an ongoing non-negotiable both verbally and through body language. It is an honour to have my hands entrusted with such delicate work. I will always do my best to help you feel welcomed and comfy.
