Loss. It’s never too early or late to begin healing from loss of any kind. It’s my honour to help you move through the shock, uncertainty, and pain of what, what we might call the "dark night of the soul," into illumination. I am a certified Grief Recovery Specialist ®. Trauma and Stress. Complex interactions of our mind, emotions, nervous system and environments, can cause us to get stuck in states of flight, fight, freeze, or collapse. I’ll bring clarity around reactions [triggers] that affect your capacity to function well, helping to heal and thrive, not just survive. I have specialized training, and I’ve worked with individuals, couples, frontline workers, first responders, veterans, clergy and other professional lines of work.
Relationships. I love to see relationships thrive! Come explore your relational patterns and processes as an individual, a couple or family. Communication, boundaries, patterns/cycles, attachment styles, family of origins work, or infidelity, are just a few of the areas we may explore. I use a variety of modalities: Pragmatic Experiential Therapy for Couples [PET-C], Gottman, systems theory, attachment theory and others.
Spirituality. For those who wish to incorporate faith/spiritual practices for strengthening wellbeing, or work through spiritual crisis, religious hurts/ trauma, or leadership concerns, I am honoured to explore these nuanced areas. I support individuals, leaders/clergy and organizations. I have formal training and experience in this area.
Outside of this beautiful work, I enjoy family, flavoured coffee, nature, creative arts, singing, and teaching/speaking. I stay centered through my spiritual practices and seeking awe and wonder.
Experience:
Cyndi is a Registered Psychologist, and a graduate of City University of Seattle with a master’s degree in counselling. She has experience through AHS, Victim’s Services, and private practice. She has facilitated grief recovery and marriage groups, presented at workshops and speaking engagements, and has worked with a variety of trauma and stress related concerns.
