Dayton (he/him) is a UK-trained physiotherapy student originally from Kelowna, BC. He completed his undergraduate degree in Human Kinetics at UBCO where he competed as part of the Heat Cross Country team. Through his experiences, the teachers, and coaches around him in endurance sport and training, he developed an interest in coaching, exercise physiology, and athletic performance.
Expanding on this interests, he did a Master’s degree in Kinesiology at the University of British Columbia with a focus on exercise physiology and performance coaching. During this time, he worked as a Graduate Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach with the UBC Thunderbirds, supporting varsity athletes across sports including volleyball, rugby, and athletics. Alongside this role, he spent his free time coaching youth athletics with the Thunderbird Track Club and served as Head Track & Field Coach for both the junior and senior school programs at Crofton House School. He also holds his NCCP Club Coaching certification.
After working as a kinesiologist, Dayton realized he wanted to strengthen his understanding of injury rehabilitation and how to help people return to the activities they enjoy most. This led him to pursue physiotherapy training in Scotland, where he is currently completing his Master’s in Physiotherapy in Glasgow.
Dayton is excited to return to Kelowna and join MoveMed Physiotherapy as a student physiotherapist placement, where he looks forward to learning from and contributing to the amazing and experience team.

A physiotherapy-led, science-backed semi-private exercise class designed for individuals with osteoporosis, osteopenia or who have concerns about low bone density. Exercises focusing on strength, mobility and balance are carefully selected and tailored to individual ability levels, and provided in a supportive environment. When: Sept 15th to Oct 23rd, 2026 2 sessions per week, for 6 weeks Tuesdays and Fridays, 6:45-7:30 PM *Friday Sept 25th class will be held on Thursday Sept 24th
