As a parent of children that have benefited from accessing mental health supports to overcome difficulties, I enjoy the process of working side-by-side with family members to create lasting change.
I work from a client-centered, attachment-based approach that focusses on the individual and their relationships with others, their environment, and themselves. I work from a number of different therapeutic approaches including mindfulness-based practices, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, solution focused approaches, self-compassion, and play-based interventions. I have experience in facilitating psycho-educational and therapeutic groups for children, youth, and caregivers to serve clients as part of a collective that offers a different approach than that of individual counselling.
Every person deserves to be heard, respected, and feel connection that they can carry into their everyday lives and larger community. I work to create an environment that is warm and safe for each individual to foster their growth and progress.
Debbie's services are covered under extended health care and we direct bill Blue Cross, Medavie Blue Cross, Greenshield and ETelus Health providers such as Canada Life

For parents or caregivers of at least one child aged 0–6 years old. 8 engaging sessions with practical tools and group discussion, taking place every Friday from October 3rd to November 28, excluding Halloween, from 6:30-8pm. Cost $760 per parent/caregiver. Includes the equivalent of 12 hours of sessions for the cost of 3! Most insurance plans cover a portion of each session ($95/session). The same parent must attend all 8 sessions. You will be billed on the first session date.

This is the first session to book to discuss the assessment steps and processes and gather initial necessary information to determine the assessment details and medical history. These costs are approximates only: Approximately $2800 for a Comprehensive psycho-educational and ADHD Approximately $3800 for Autism assessment Mental Health is determined after the interview Academic $1200 WISC and Vineland The actual costs will be determined after the initial interview. An invoice explaining the assessment steps and tools to be used will be shared with you prior to moving ahead for your approval.

This is the first session and you attend this session by yourself. This Mediation is not covered by any extended health care plans and additional document and paperwork is billable at this rate in increments of 30 mins. This workshop is for kids aged 9-12 years. It is 6 weeks on Saturdays from 1:30-3:00pm. The purpose of the workshop is to teach emotional regulations skills through movement. A tool they can take home and use immediately.
