**English Version:**
Denise is a bilingual physiotherapist who’s passionate about helping people move with confidence and feel their best—whether they’re recovering from an injury, managing a condition, or chasing athletic goals. She brings a friendly, empathetic approach to care, always aiming to make patients feel heard and supported.
She completed both her Honours Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology (French stream) and Master of Science in Physiotherapy at the University of Ottawa, through its bilingual program. Her background and specialized certifications have given her a thorough understanding of how the body functions, and how to apply the latest research of physical therapy techniques.
Denise has a special interest in sports rehab and has been involved in sideline coverage for gymnastics, football, hockey, soccer, triathlons, running events, competitive dance, and volleyball. Some of her favorite events to work have included the Canadian Gymnastics Championships, the Ottawa Ironman and the Pan American Volleyball Cup.
As a lifelong athlete herself—with a background in cross-country running, volleyball, triathlons, and dance—Denise knows what it’s like to push your limits, and how frustrating it can be when your body isn’t keeping up. That shared experience helps her connect with her patients, understand their goals, and build treatment plans that truly fit their lifestyle.
Originally from a Francophone community in Northwestern Ontario, she’s proud to offer care in both French and English. Denise believes in a collaborative, patient-centered approach—developing personalized treatment plans that restore function, support performance, and prevent future injury.

The initial assessment and treatment is the beginning of the search for what has gone wrong with your body's mechanics. We start with a thorough history of your injury or condition, and then take you through a series of tests that allow us to narrow down the cause of your problem. We discuss our findings with you, and propose a treatment plan. We can't tell you how long it will take for you to be completely painfree, but we can tell you that you should feel a significant difference by the time we have seen you 4 or 5 times.

Sometimes, you aren't able to make it into the clinic to see your therapist. The current environment, with self-isolation or quarantine during a time of sickness around COVID-19 is one example, but video appointments are used more and more in today's health care environment. E-consults are a way to cut down on travel, save time away from work, or to use if you don't have anyone to watch the people you are caregiving for yourself. We offer secure, one on one time with you to check on how your injury is progressing, to review and progress your exercises, lead you through a mobility or breathing session, or to consult on other exercise modalities you may want to try out.

Hands-on treatment and exercise/motor control work with your physiotherapist, directed at the root cause of your problem. Follow-ups consist of a recheck of your movement, strength, or some special tests. We do this to determine the effects of both our last treatment and your exercise program. Then we use manual techniques to work with your body to mobilize stiff joints or soft tissue, and work on refining your exercise program as needed. Follow up appointments may be booked at a rate anywhere from 3 times a week to once every three or four weeks, determined by you and the physiotherapist, and according to the particulars of your condition.
