Devon’s **integrative approach** draws from Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and mindfulness. Through a trauma-informed and compassionate approach, clients can release stress, emotional blocks and develop coping strategies.
**EFT** supports clients to connect and express their emotions in a conscious and confident way which supports the process and provides lasting positive change in relationships.
**CBT** fosters awareness and change with unhelpful patterns and behaviours.
**EMDR** helps treat the memory and nervous system related to adverse experiences to reduce distress and current triggers affecting a person’s quality of life.
Combining these *evidence-based* practices with *client-centered* and *trauma-informed* care, Devon supports and gently challenges clients to move toward their healing and thriving goals.
She helps clients reduce stress through self-awareness, mindfulness, breathwork, and the mind–body connection to foster resilience and fulfillment. Her sessions often incorporate practical mindfulness techniques, coping strategies, and breathwork to help clients tap into inner strengths, **feel more in control, and reconnect with their sense of wholeness and well-being.**
She is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) who works with individuals (16+) navigating burnout, anxiety, depression, and stress related to work, relationships, and the challenges of life experiences.
**Reiki**
Devon also offers Reiki as a separate offering at Bodywise. Devon has been offering Reiki since 2010 when she received her Level One training, which then she followed with Level Two shortly thereafter, and became a Reiki Master in 2020. Over the years, Devon has found Reiki to be incredibly supportive for clients, offering both clarity and relief during stressful times. It serves as a wonderful reset—whether at different points throughout the year or through life’s various transitions. ***Note:*** Reiki session receipts do not include Devon's Psychotherapy certification as they are a separate service. There is the option to add a 30 minute psychotherapy session to a Reiki session to allow for additional processing, skill building, and talk therapy associated to the Reiki session and your current life circumstances.
Devon is available for in person and telehealth (online) sessions. Additional times may be available - feel free to book a complimentary consultation to connect and explore working together.

This session offers a safe, supportive environment for couples to explore and address relationship challenges. Whether you’re navigating communication issues, intimacy concerns, trust, or conflict resolution, therapy can help rebuild connection and understanding. Using evidence-based approaches like Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Gottman Method, and other modalities, we work together to strengthen your relationship, improve communication, and create healthier patterns. Couples therapy is for partners in any stage of their relationship – from those looking to deepen their bond to those seeking to repair after difficult times. No need to wait until things are "broken" – therapy can support growth at any stage.
EMDR is a structured therapy that helps people heal from trauma and emotional distress. When something overwhelming happens, our brain can get "stuck" in the experience, making it feel like the past is still happening now. EMDR helps the brain reprocess those memories so they feel more distant, less intense, and no longer interfere with the present. This approach uses gentle eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation to support your natural healing process. Many people find relief more quickly than with talk therapy alone. If you're struggling with past experiences, anxiety, or feel emotionally triggered in ways that don’t make sense, EMDR may help.
