Devon started her strength training career working with general population mostly focused on return to sport after injury. She began working with elite endurance athletes in 2014, and since then she has expanded her practice to include runners and race walkers from 800m to ultramarathons and every event in between. She has had numerous athletes attend both Olympic and World Championships and be competitive at the National level. She enjoys being a part of each athlete’s unique team, collaborating with coaches and clinicians to develop the best possible plan for them.
Continuing education and learning from her peers is a large part of Devon’s practice. She enjoys reading articles on anything relating to gait and performance, from breathing and biomechanics to mental strategies and recovery.
Her own athletic journey started with waterpolo, where she was on the youth national team. Once in university her focus shifted to weightlifting before settling into trail and mountain running. She runs track and road in the winter to better understand the training her athletes undergo, but in the summer she spends as much time as she can as high in the mountains as possible.
