This program runs over 2 months, as a combination of clinic and home physiotherapy. It is once per week in the clinic, and a home exercise program to be completed 2-3 times per week. It is based upon the Otago fall prevention research, based in New Zealand. Their program recommends one year of training, but the choice is yours.
If you have seen one of our new physios at another clinic in the last year, please choose this option. You will have some forms to fill out online or when you get to our clinic, and we have booked extra time for the physio to create your online medical record here. Expect a regular treatment, 20-25 minutes, and a few minutes for paperwork and computer set up. Your following appointments will be booked as regular physio follow-up treatments.
After you have had a post-concussion assessment, if your physio or chiro believes you will benefit from active rehab, please choose this. *Note: you do not have to be a client of Brownstone Health, this is available to patients of the Concussion Collaborative
If you can't function due to a dizzy spell or if the room is spinning and you can't move, we consider this urgent.
