Dianne graduated from the University of Alberta with a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy. Prior to this, she completed a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with distinction. Since graduating, she has completed the Level 3 components in the Diploma of Advanced Orthopaedic and Manual Manipulative Physiotherapy. Dianne is certified in Gunn Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS/Dry Needling).
Dianne also became certified in ROST Therapy (a treatment technique to treat pelvic girdle pain during pregnancy). She has enjoyed utilizing these skills to offer guidance and solutions to pregnant women to allow for better self-management of hip, pelvis and back pain.
She also has a keen interest in the treatment of TMD (TMJ / jaw dysfunction) and has worked with a variety of cases to restore function for people with TMJ related symptoms. She focuses on assessing and treating the body as a whole, as there are often many factors at play with TMJ pain and dysfunction.
Dianne enjoys using a combination of treatment approaches to best suit her clients' individual needs. Home exercises as well as postural and movement advice are key components of her treatment approach to help optimize function and achieve rehabilitation goals.
In her spare time, Dianne stays active curling, hiking, and spending time with her husband and young daughter. Dianne originally comes from Holland and grew up near Innisfail. She is happy to call central Alberta home.
