From Lockeport, Nova Scotia, DJ grew up playing sports throughout school, where he developed a love of basketball. After moving to Halifax, he worked in animation for seven years but began to notice the toll that long hours of deskwork were having on his physical health. This led him to pursue an education in massage therapy to learn more about correcting his own developing postural issues and, in turn, helping those around him return to a more active and healthier lifestyle.
He graduated with honours from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy’s 2,200-hour program in April 2021 and has since been helping local and international athletes stay in top form. He has been fortunate to work with NLL and QMJHL athletes locally, as well as performers from Cirque du Soleil during their appearances in the Atlantic provinces, in addition to a wide range of varsity athletes and the Halifax community as a whole.
DJ uses a blend of PNF stretching, passive range of motion, and mobility work to efficiently assess patients’ injuries and conditions, followed by deep tissue modalities to help alleviate symptoms and improve range of motion. He believes education and rehabilitation are the keys to patients’ long-term success, and he is dedicated to providing thoughtful treatment plans with specific exercise regimens to help athletes return to their sport and perform at their highest level.
Outside of work, DJ can usually be found geeking out about comics and pop culture, scouring the city for a pick-up basketball game, or taking his newborn daughter for a stroller ride on the BLT Trail with his dog.

Chris’s treatments are not like a typical massage — there are no sheets, oils, or lotions, and you’ll often remain partially or fully clothed. His approach is highly treatment-focused, centered around Integrated Fascial Techniques (IFT), including Myofascial, Visceral, and Cranial Sacral methods, which require moving on and off the table while he tests and re-tests to identify the root cause of dysfunction. This specialized style is designed to address acute and chronic injuries, musculoskeletal dysfunction, digestive concerns, women’s health needs, post-concussion syndrome, and more. If you’re seeking a results-driven approach that goes beyond traditional massage, this may be the right fit for you.
