After completing her undergraduate degree at Queen’s University, Dr. Ann Izard attended Western States Chiropractic College in Portland, Oregon, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude, class valedictorian in 2004. Prior to joining Teamworks, Dr Izard practiced for 16 years in the Burnaby Heights neighbourhood.
Dr. Izard treats a wide variety of issues from spinal complaints to shoulder concerns, tennis elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome, knee and ankle injuries, plantar fasciitis, and headaches. Combining soft tissue therapies, joint manipulation, rehab exercises, and modalities such as Shockwave therapy, Dr. Izard helps patients reach their optimal level of performance. She collaborates with other healthcare providers both within and outside of Teamworks in order to best meet the needs of her patients.
Outside of the clinic, Ann provides treatment services to various corporations in the Vancouver area, as well as locum coverage services to chiropractic colleagues throughout the province. She is a past faculty member of the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine, and regularly lectures to groups on topics such as posture, stretching, workplace and sports-related injury prevention. She has been involved with the SunRun InTraining Clinics for many years, and has treated onsite at several events in the Lower Mainland.
In her spare time, Dr. Izard has a passion for the world of dance. When not at work or in the dance studio, Ann loves spending time outside with her family and friends, particularly on cycling, hiking and snowshoeing adventures with her young daughter.
