Dr. Antonio Petrolo graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College with Summa Cum Laude and clinic honours. He presently is completing his Sports Sciences Residency, an intensive post-graduate fellowship involving specialized training in the Sports Sciences, conducting research in sport, as well as teaching/instructing current chiropractic students. He also currently resides as a therapist for various semi-professional clubs and professional soccer clubs, monitoring the health, fitness, performance statistics, and wellness of the athletes during training and matchdays.
Although Dr. Antonio spends much time working with high performance athletes, he is a firm believer in providing elite care for all patients, regardless of occupation. Every individual patient is unique and important to him, understanding that each has their own goals, aspirations, and expectations in how they want to live their life pain-free – be it through gardening, getting back to their job, performing high-level sports, or being able to play with their children and grandchildren.

What is a Sport Specialist Chiropractor?:
A Sports Chiropractor keeps active individuals at their best by treating neuromusculoskeletal dysfunction. Using chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue therapies, modalities and rehabilitative measures, a sports chiropractor aims to restore and enhance the body’s neuromusculoskeletal system for peak performance.
The human body is considered an integrated system, not a collection of individual parts.
A Sports Chiropractor is an expert in the diagnosis and treatment of sport related injury. They are proficient in injury prevention and rehabilitation measures and have sound knowledge base of return-to-play criteria.

Functional Movement Screen: A Functional Movement Screen (FMS) is a way to analyze movement patterns and observe mobility and stability deficits. The purpose of a functional movement screen is to help identify any limitations or asymmetries that may restrict your athletic potential or increase your risk of injury. Screening helps ensure that you have a solid movement foundation and can take on more complex exercises or demanding activities. Who Can Benefit from a Movement Screen? Because a movement screen, or functional movement screen, is simply a measurement tool, anyone can benefit from an evaluation. You do not need to be an athlete to have a movement screen (although it is, in fact, utilized in preseason performance testing for elite sports clubs around the world).
