Naturopathic Medicine is rooted in treating the whole body, and frankly, I believe most of us have more than one area that is giving us a hard time. My goal is to distill down the situation to what is practical and just makes sense.
Beyond the treatment room, I'm passionate about learning and sharing what I've found helpful. You might find me hosting my monthly workshops at Local Health, conducting webinars, or at a used bookstore trying to decide which book I must give up.

An allergy/skin scratch test is used to identify potential environmental allergens such as pollens, mold, and pet dander. During your visit, you will be exposed to an environmental trigger through a superficial, non penetrating “scratch” to the skin. You must be an existing patient or have booked an Initial Visit to determine if this test is appropriate for you.

is a painless, non-invasive treatment that uses low intensity light waves to reduce inflammation and stimulate healing below the surface of the skin. Different wavelengths of light are applied to an injured area, but the levels of light used do not heat tissue, which allows damaged tissue to heal and regenerate.
Trigger points are what most people call ‘knots’ in muscles- small areas of tightness located within a muscle fibre. Trigger points can cause discomfort, tightness and pain referral. Trigger point injection therapy involves injection of sugar solution and anesthetic into the areas of tightness and discomfort. This can release the trigger points, allowing muscle to relax and decrease pain & referral associated with the trigger point.

Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring compound in the skin. As we age, less is produced. Hyaluronic acid binds to and absorbs water, which leads to fullness and plumping of the skin. Microneedling is used to allow the hyaluronic acid to penetrate deeper into the skin, allowing for better absorption and utilization. This can lead to decreased appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, as well as decreased pigmentation and scarring. This appointment is not direct billable to insurance.

This appointment is for reviewing any concerns around your reproductive organs. To ensure that this is the right appointment for your healthcare needs, please book in a Complimentary Meet and Greet with the ND first and then call the clinic to book this appointment or coordinate a booking with your ND. For those who have/had a cervix/uterus, we will reviewing how the new HPV testing swab screening is done, along with a breast/chest exam. A cervix visualization can also be performed as needed. As of 2024, BC Cancer Agency has recommended to discontinue PAPs as a first line screening. HPV testing is the primary screening method for cervical cancer. Screening tests are analyzed and results are provided by the Cervical Cancer Screening Laboratory (CCSL), which is operated by PHSA’s Provincial Laboratory Medicine Services. **HPV screening can be provided if personal kits are brought in** Request kit here: https://submit.healthcarebc.ca/bccancer/cervix-screening-kit We can offer/provide PAP testing as a follow-up measure to those with abnormal markers in their HPV screening. For those who have/had a prostate, we are able to offer a digital rectal exam and reproductive organ assessment. Our female physicians offer these exams in a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment. We also provide Sexually transmitted infections (STI) screening if needed (additional cost of lab may apply). STIs often don’t have obvious symptoms and are easily overlooked, but can cause serious health problems if left untreated.
