My passion for natural medicine began many years ago when I had no idea what a Naturopathic Doctor was. I observed my mother battle with various ailments including chronic pain and inflammation as well as cardiovascular disease. Not only was she medicated with drugs for her symptoms, she was also given drugs for the side effects caused by her medications. The quality of her health declined each day with dependency on medications. Through caring for her, I discovered and began to appreciate naturopathic medicine. Tolle causam, identify and treat the cause is a principle of naturopathic medicine that resonated with me- her treatment had a purpose and goal. Through witnessing my mother’s struggles drastically improve, she regained her health and well being through natural modalities.
This sparked my interest in Naturopathic Medicine and after completing my undergraduate degree from the University of Toronto specializing in Nutritional Sciences I excitedly embarked on a four year degree at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. With over 3000 hours of classroom training and over 1200 hours of clinical experience, I completed my Bachelors of Naturopathy degree that focused on biomedical sciences, clinical sciences and naturopathic therapeutics.
