Background of Dr. Carolina Leon, Naturopathic Physician
Dr. Leon is originally from Mexico. She is the daughter of two Medical Doctor Specialists. Thus from a very young age, she was exposed to patients in the hospital setting, where she watched her parents assess, diagnose, and treat patients. From that point onwards, she knew she wanted to learn the Medical sciences and make a difference in people’s lives. Her main goal is to keep people healthy and optimize their health, prevent them from getting sick and improve their health outcomes whenever their health declines.
Dr. Carolina moved to Vancouver for her undergraduate and graduate studies. She studied at UBC, where she completed a Bachelor of Arts, majored in Cognitive Systems: Cognition and Brain Stream. Followed by a year of research doing EEG studies at a Psychophysics and Cognitive Neuroscience UBC Lab. She did her Naturopathic Medical career at the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine. Throughout her career, she volunteered at Hospitals and medical clinics in Mexico every year during the summer and did further training under her father’s supervision doing pediatric neonatology work.
Her long training has enabled Dr. Carolina to offer valuable information to patients that will help them understand their conditions, which will facilitate them in making informed choices and inspire them to make the necessary changes to improve their health.
Dr. Carolina proudly offers all her services in English and Spanish.
