Dr. Carrie Atwal joined our team in 2019, having moved to Ladner from Victoria. With over 15 years of experience, she thrives working in a high-energy, multi-disciplinary clinic much like Fiskco Health + Performance.
During her education at the University of Victoria, Dr. Atwal developed an interest in alternative medicine and the Chiropractic discipline. In 2005, after obtaining her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, she began to work for a local Chiropractor to better familiarize herself with all aspects of care and running a practice before starting her education in Portland Oregon.
In 2009, Dr. Atwal received her Doctorate of Chiropractic, as well as a second Bachelor degree in Human Biology from the University of Western States. She is well versed in the diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of numerous neurological, muscular, and skeletal disorders.
Her approach to treatment includes using diverse methods of adjustments, gentle mobilization, various soft tissue techniques, and patient education including but not limited to: lifestyle modifications, body awareness, and rehabilitating exercises. She also has experience fitting custom orthotics and using different therapeutic modalities.
Dr. Atwal has worked with numerous athletes, ranging from weekend warriors to high-performance athletes. She has worked with several members of Rowing Canada, Camosun Girls Volleyball and many triathletes and cyclists from the Island. However she enjoys working on everyone with any sort of issue, ranging from headaches and jaw pain down to foot issues.
Dr. Atwal assures to develop a well-tailored treatment plan that is specific to each person’s individual needs. Whether it’s a specific condition or wellness care, she will devote sufficient time, energy, and motivation to accelerate and/or maintain one’s health.

Our Chiropractors will conduct a gait analysis and full biomechanical assessment when they cast your feet to have custom orthotics made. This appointment does not include Chiropractic treatment. If you were wanting Chiropractic treatment you will need to book an Initial or Subsequent appointment in addition to your Orthotics appointment. Allow 40 minutes for your appointment.

This is for patients following Dr Emily Baas's Postpartum Appointment-Cased Program - please book after 3-6 appointments with Dr Baas so she can assess your progress, go over any exercises your are struggling with and go over some of the more complicated exercises to come!
