Dr. Chelsea Nelson earned her Doctorate in Chiropractic, in December 2018, where she graduated with Summa Cum Laude honors, from Palmer College of Chiropractic West in San Jose, California.
Dr. Nelson is originally from Vancouver Island, but calls Calgary home. Prior to her post-graduate studies, she completed her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology at the University of Calgary, November 2012.
Dr. Nelson’s practice consists of using evidence-based approaches to provide the best quality care for her patients. She uses diversified chiropractic adjustments, activator, drop table and flexion-distraction, as well as soft tissue therapy and provides stretching and strengthening exercises to further aide in the recovery process. She is certified in Smart Tools, K-Tape, FMT RockPods Myofascial cupping, Webster Technique, Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization, and trained in Class IV laser and shockwave therapies. She also offers custom orthotics.
Her ambition is to assist patients in achieving their optimal health goals by decreasing musculoskeletal dysfunctions and allowing them to focus on optimizing function in their daily lives.
In her spare time, Dr. Nelson enjoys travelling, camping, cheering for the Calgary Flames, stand up paddle boarding, and spending time with her dog, Pyper.

MVA (motor vehicle accident) assessments are for anyone who's been involved in a car accident in Alberta within 90 days of the date of injury. Our chiropractor will take a detailed history and perform an in depth analysis of your injury. The initial assessment takes approximately 60 minutes and includes a short treatment. They will fill out the proper paperwork that your auto insurance requires. Please note in notes section of your booking if your injury is the result of a car accident..

Your follow up treatments after having a Motor Vehicle Assessment are approximately 30 minutes.
Chiropractic Assessment (includes a treatment) are for new injuries or the same injury that we have not treated for more than 6 months. Our Chiro Assessments are an in depth analysis of your injury. The chiropractor establishes a clinical diagnosis and advises on treatment plan. Initial treatment is provided as time permits.
Chiropractic Assessments w Shockwave are for new injuries or the same injury that we have not treated for more than 6 months which will include an assessment and shockwave treatment (provided our chiropractor has deemed your medical history and condition appropriate for this modality). Our Chiropractic Assessments are an in depth analysis of your injury. Our therapists will take the time to properly diagnose and treat your condition. The initial assessment takes approximately 60 minutes and includes a shockwave treatment. We believe in the value of education and quality care and we have adjusted our treatment times to reflect that. Shockwave Therapy (acoustic pressure wave, not electric shock), is a safe, and effective treatment approach for a wide range of medical conditions. It stimulates healing & breaks down scar tissue & is very effective for those chronic issues like tendonitis, bursitis, plantar fasciitis etc.
Pediatric first visit/assessment is for any children 1-10 years old and is a 30 min visit.
Pediatric follow up treatment is for children 0-10 years old and is a 15 min visit.
Prenatal Chiropractic Assessment (includes a treatment) for expectant moms to be! Our doctor of chiropractic is trained to detect and gently correct spinal dysfunctions and muscle imbalances that can occur during pregnancy and post-pregnancy. Safe and gentle spinal adjustments, muscle work and pregnancy specific belly bolstering can help you be as comfortable as possible. Ideally, chiropractic treatments should begin early in the pregnancy so that a treatment plan can be developed before any aches, pains or issues arise.
