While taking care of Toronto’s weekend warriors and occupational athletes at Balanced Body Active Health Centre, Dr. Wang teaches Human Biomechanics and Ergonomics at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College and previously Musculoskeletal Biomechanics and Clinical Biomechanics and Ergonomics at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology. Prior to becoming a Chiropractor, Dr. Wang obtained a BSc. In Kinesiology at Western University and a MSc in Biomechanics at the University of Waterloo, with a special focus on spine stability and breathing.
In practice, Dr. Wang believes optimum health can only be obtained through a team approach where the patient is the team leader. As part of the team Balanced Body, Dr. Wang utilizes Acupuncture, Functional Range Release, spinal manipulation, ergonomic evaluation and activities of daily living modification as part of a holistic team based treatment plan, customized for each patient.
Dr. Wang is passionate about everyday ergonomics. He believes that many body pains and problems are because of poor habits and positions that slowly and consistently strain our bodies throughout the day and during sleep. Small changes to the big things (work, sitting, sleeping) can stop the cycle of consistently hurting ourselves everyday.
Dr. Wang enjoys playing beach volleyball and wakeboarding when he gets to have “Wang time”.
