Dylan has always been passionate to help those around him. It is this passion combined with his love for sports that led him to complete his Bachelor of Science in exercise science in St. Louis Missouri while on a hockey scholarship. Upon completing his undergraduate degree, Dylan obtained his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic-West Campus in San Jose California in December of 2022 with clinical, philosophical, and academic honors. Moving back to Cochrane to work at ProActive health has been a dream come true for Dylan since he is a long-time patient and believer in the field of chiropractic and has seen the power it has in helping patients achieve their goals and allowing them to live the type of life that is not limited by pain and injury. Dylan’s treatment philosophy involves implementing a personalized treatment plan that considers the preferences, beliefs and the overall best interest of the patient. He is a firm believer and acknowledges the importance of treating patients using the biopsychosocial model being able to address patients as a whole and not just a sum of its parts. Dylan utilizes a myriad of techniques with the goal of reducing pain, improving physical capability and getting to the root cause of dysfunction. These techniques include but are not limited to: soft tissue mobilization, chiropractic adjustment, acupuncture, dry needling, and rehabilitative exercise to provide the body with the necessary tools to heal effectively. Dylan is also certified in Webster technique which is a chiropractic technique that involves optimizing the perinatal body. Just this summer Dr. Dylan became a member of the Canadian Pro Rodeo Sport Medicine Team treating at professional and high school rodeo events as well as Professional Bull Riding!

SHOCKWAVE: Extracorporeal shock wave therapy (ESWT for short) is a non-invasive option for the treatment of various pains and diseases of the musculoskeletal system. ESWT has been used successfully in orthopaedic pain therapy since the beginning of the 1990s. Many years of experience prove that certain pathological changes in tendons, ligaments, capsules, muscles and bones can be specifically eliminated with the help of this healing method. Frequently treated conditions include frozen shoulder, tennis elbow and heel pain (plantar fasciitis). The shock waves used are short sound pulses that can penetrate water and soft tissue. The shock waves are generated outside the body (»extracorporeally«) in the handpiece of the device and transmitted into the patient's body by means of ultrasound gel, where they have a targeted effect on the painful areas. ACUPUNCTURE/DRY NEEDLING: Acupuncture/Dry Needling is used to treat a vast number of conditions such as muscular spasm/tension, trigger points sciatica, lower back pain, osteoarthritis of the knee, sprains and strains, whiplash and headaches, as well as neurological and other medical conditions. Acupuncture is especially effective for treating and managing pain.
