Meet Dr. Elyse Black!
Dr. Elyse is a second-generation Chiropractor who has a passion for healthy active living. Her chiropractic journey started when she was just one week old when her mother brought her to technique class at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College.
She has been raised on the belief that maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle is the key to optimal health and wellness. She employs Chiropractic as not only a solution for pain but as a proactive approach to maintaining function. She takes a hands-on approach to ensure that the body can operate at its maximal capacity.
Dr. Elyse has an athletic background competing in dance, Provincial Level gymnastics, National Level trampolining, race snowboarding, and football. She was a 3x National Champion in Varsity Cheerleading at Wilfrid Laurier University. She also ran the Ski and Snowboard Club where she organized annual ski trips.
She graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College with Honours. During her time at CMCC, she ran the Business and Outdoor Activities Clubs. She was the recipient of the Marilyn Phillip’s and the Students’ Council Dedication Awards, which recognize students for outstanding academic achievement, contributions to student life, and a commitment to the chiropractic profession. She is also a certified Personal Trainer and was an F45 Training coach.
Dr. Elyse has a passion for keeping people moving and enabling them to continue to do the things that they love. She treats everything from headaches and joint pain to improving functional movement and performance. She treats each patient as an individual and takes a holistic approach to care.
On weekends you can find her by the lake, on hikes, reading books, running, or spending time with family.

Dr. Black combines a targeted neuromuscular assessment with hands-on treatment to identify and address how your brain and muscles are communicating. Using advanced muscle testing techniques, Dr. Black pinpoints areas of dysfunction and works to restore balance, coordination, and optimal movement patterns — all in one appointment. Perfect for those experiencing: • Persistent pain or tension that hasn’t resolved with traditional treatment • Feeling “stuck” in their recovery • Athletes or active individuals looking to optimize performance • Anyone curious about the root cause of their movement issues
For clients who have already completed a New Patient appointment with one of the chiropractors at this office. These are follow up/subsequent visits. Book this appointment if you have seen a chiro in the office in the last 6 months AND there is no new complaint.
This appointment is for current chiropractic patients of our office who will need a progress examination, have a new complaint, and or for extended treatment times if deemed necessary by the doctor. Please note there is an increased fee, compared to just an adjustment, when booking this appointment type.
This appointment is for extended treatment times to include acupuncture treatment. Please note there is an increased fee, compared to a regular extended treatment, when booking this appointment type.
This assessment is for INFANTS and CHILDREN UNDER the AGE of 5. Up to one hour will be used for the assessment and treatment if indicated.
This appointment is for the initial assessment and treatment for a person who is trying to conceive, currently pregnant, or gave birth in the last 12 months.
For clients who have never seen a chiropractor in this office OR for past clients that haven't seen a chiropractor in this office in the last 2 years.
For clients who have never seen a chiropractor in this office who would like Acupuncture treatment OR for past chiropractic patients who have not been in this office for the past two years.
Book this appointment if you have seen one of our chiropractors before, but it has been more than 6 months since your last appointment.
This appointment is for clients that have never seen a practitioner in our office. An assessment consisting of a thorough history and examination will be performed to determine the course of treatment with shockwave. Treatment will commence on the same day with the remaining time if no contraindications are present.
This appointment is a follow up treatment for current patients. This session includes treatment for 2-3 areas that are considered to be large muscle groups or tendons. This treatment may also be used for large and small group combinations. 12,000-18,000 shocks will be delivered as treatment. Common areas of treatment include trapezius muscles, achilles, low back, quads, hamstrings, or glutes.
This appointment is a follow up treatment for current patients. This session includes treatment for smaller muscle groups, multiple smaller areas of the body, or one large tendon or muscle group. 4000-8000 shocks will be delivered as treatment. Common areas of treatment include trapezius muscles, biceps, forearms, triceps, rotator cuff, and one side of achilles, low back, quads, hamstrings, or glutes.
This appointment is a follow up treatment for current patients. This session includes one small area to be treated. 2000-4000 shocks will be delivered. Ankle, foot, elbows, knee, wrist, heel, or small or superficial tendons, such as shoulder.
