Dr. Burt is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor practicing in Newfoundland, offering both in-person and virtual appointments. She completed her Bachelor of Science at Dalhousie University before earning her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) in Toronto.
Originally from Gander, Newfoundland, Dr. Burt brings the warmth, groundedness, and community-centered values of her East Coast roots into her work. She takes an individualized, collaborative approach to care and firmly believes naturopathic medicine works best alongside conventional treatment -not in place of it. She welcomes the opportunity to coordinate with physicians and other healthcare providers to support safe, integrative care.
Dr. Burt has a special clinical interest in integrative cancer care, supporting individuals through all stages of the cancer journey—from diagnosis and treatment to survivorship. Her approach focuses on improving quality of life, minimizing treatment-related side effects, and helping patients feel more grounded, empowered, and supported during times of uncertainty. While integrative oncology is a key focus of her practice, Dr. Burt maintains a broad general practice and welcomes patients with a wide range of health concerns. She frequently works with patients experiencing digestive issues, hormonal imbalances, fatigue, pain, stress, and general wellness goals. Her care is evidence-informed and rooted in clinical nutrition, botanical medicine, lifestyle counseling, and mind-body approaches. She blends science with empathy and deep respect for the body’s innate ability to heal.
During her internship at CCNM, Dr. Burt was selected for the Integrative Cancer Care shift—the only program of its kind in North America—where she trained alongside FABNO-certified naturopathic oncologists.
Outside of practice, she enjoys trying new recipes, hiking and playing the piano.
