Dr. Emina Arima earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon, after completing her studies at Olds College and the University of Lethbridge. Her clinical approach reflects a strong foundation in evidence-based care, movement science, and functional rehabilitation.
A lot of people in Kelowna come to Dr. Arima feeling frustrated with their body, having had pain that has lingered longer than expected, an injury that hasn’t fully resolved, or a sense that things just aren’t moving the way they used to. It can be difficult to know where to start or what the right next step is. That’s where her approach begins: by listening, understanding your experience, and helping you make sense of what’s going on so you can move forward with confidence.
Her clinical focus includes injury recovery, mobility limitations, and performance-based care, supporting patients through everything from acute pain to long-standing movement concerns. Her treatment approach is both hands-on and active, combining gentle spinal adjustments, joint mobilizations, soft tissue therapy, cupping, and Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) principles with individualized exercise and rehabilitation programs. Care is always tailored to the person in front of her, with a focus on building strength, improving movement, and supporting long-term results.
Dr. Arima has a lifelong background in competitive soccer, including playing at the ACAC and U SPORTS levels. That experience gives her a practical understanding of the physical and mental demands of sport, injury, and return to play. She enjoys working with athletes, active individuals, and anyone looking to feel more capable and confident in their body.
She believes that patients deserve to feel informed, supported, and involved in their care. Her goal is not just to reduce pain in the short term, but to help you build the confidence and resilience needed to move well for the long term.
Outside the clinic, you’ll often find her enjoying the Okanagan lifestyle with family, friends, and her dog Bentley—hiking, running, playing soccer, or exploring local coffee shops and wineries.
