Dr. Mackay completed her Bachelor of Science at Acadia University in 1996, then graduated from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 2001. Erin was chosen and awarded the prestigious Herbert K. Lee award for highest excellence in academic, clinical and altruistic endeavors.
She has worked in and around Halifax since 2001 starting her career with Dr. Brian Seaman for 5 years who is one of the chiropractors who travels with and treats the Canadian Olympic athletes, as well as in two integrated clinics alongside medical doctors, physiotherapists, massage therapists and psychologists. She has a great appreciation for the roles of each health care provider.
Her goal is for her patients to lead healthy and active lives and she enjoys participating in achieving this goal. Her practice philosophy follows the medical model with the aim to create a balance between the musculoskeletal and neural structures to allow every patient to function at their highest.
Outside of the clinic setting, she enjoys being active with running, hiking, and skiing, taking advantage of all the great outdoors has to offer, She likes being an active member of the community and is kept busy with a family that likes to keep active as well. She is proud master to our clinic puppy, Vida.
