Dr. Fiona Chan graduated from University of Waterloo with a Bachelors of Honors Science and obtained her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) in Toronto.
She continued her education and received her acupuncture training from the McMaster University Contemporary Medical Acupuncture Program. She is dedicated in providing patients with evidence-based and patient-centered care with specializing manual techniques such as Thompson® technique and motion palpation institute.
She is also passionate for ergonomics to ensure equipment and workstation setup fit our human body and cognitive abilities. Proper ergonomic design is necessary to prevent repetitive strain injuries and other musculoskeletal disorders, which can develop over time and can lead to long term injuries.
Dr. Chan has worked at multiple corporations and in a variety of environments such as hospitals, automotive manufacturing facilities, cellular phone manufacturing facilities and research centers, to provide ergonomic workshops, workstation consultations and risk assessments.
It is Dr. Chan’s desire to help serve the local community in the area of Markham to enable her patients to maximize their life to its full potential. She is a firm believer that each patient is unique in their own way and that each treatment is designed to help promote recovery. She is also a strong believer in the importance of preventing future injuries via maintenance care. Since Unionville has a very diverse culture, Dr. Chan is able to communicate fluently in English and Chinese to serve the local community.

This is a 30 minute chiropractic appointment. If you have never completed an initial assessment, please schedule in one instead.
If you have not been back to the clinic for more 1 year this appointment will allow the therapist to re-evaluate your signs and symptoms, and provide proper therapy.
The Graston Technique is a patented form of soft tissue therapy that enhances detection and treatment of scar tissue and restrictions that may affect normal function. The stainless steel instrument identifies restrictions and "catches" the scar tissue. It is used to break up the scar tissue so it can be later absorbed by the body.
Initial assessment helps understand the signs and symptoms you are experiencing. This is required before treatments.
This comprehensive initial assessment is tailored for expectant mothers or your child’s health. We’ll take time to review medical history, perform a gentle and thorough assessment, and discuss your goals.
Follow up will be based on treatment plan created during initial visit, using manual treatment, modalities and exercise program. This is a 30 minute chiropractic appointment. If you have never completed an initial assessment, please schedule in one instead.
