Frances Turk graduated with Honours in Nutrition and Nutraceutical science at Guelph University, with a minor in Dramatic Arts. She then went on to the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine to pursue her dream of being a Naturopathic Doctor. Frances has a strong interest in the community and is always involved in something to assist those in need. Frances is the founder of the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine’s Clown Care Unit, a fun loving troop of clowns that provide comic relief when needed. They are active in local long term care facilities as well as hosting events for children in need right at the college. Frances was awarded the Community Spirit Award by her peers during her graduation at the college, an award she cherishes and holds dear to her heart. Frances’ passion for her patients is to assist them in living healthier lifestyles through nutritional education, but also to empower them to find their healing potentials on their own journey to wellness.
Frances includes in her repertoire of holistic therapies the modalities of Bowen Therapy (a dynamic system of muscle and connective tissue therapy that stimulates the body to heal itself, often profoundly), and intravenous therapy (a method of administering an individually balanced combination of vitamins and minerals directly into the bloodstream). Frances is also a personal trainer and assists individuals in proper resistance exercises to help them maintain their independence with proper posture and strength.
Frances has written articles for SNAP magazine as well as local newspapers, and she is actively speaking in her community about a series of topics including nutrition, internal cleansing, breathing techniques, humour therapy and physical exercise to name a few.

Initial Assessment appointment is a comprehensive 1.5 hour appointment to start the Patient file.
Live blood cell and dried blood cell analysis using the program BloodScan. This appointment is not a diagnostic tool, but rather can look at your blood and notice trends with red blood cell morphology, white blood cell presence and what this may indicate with your overall health. The appointment will take approximately 90 minutes and you must have something to eat that has a fat in it one hour before your appointment. This Appointment option is only available at the Rockwood Naturopathic Clinic location
Bowen therapy is a treatment that works on soft connective tissue (called Fascia) of the body. The technique is very gentle and subtle, which allows this form of therapy to be available for most individuals. Bowen therapy is used to help with musculoskeletal or related neurological problems including acute sports injuries and chronic conditions as well.
This booking is specifically for an ear lavage. The Naturopathic doctor will look into the ears to ensure the treatment is justified, and the patient will be informed of the procedure prior to commencement of the treatment.
This option is open to new patients who would like to meet the naturopathic doctor and establish if this location is a good fit for their health concerns.

This appointment is the initial patient appointment. The length of time is approximately 1.5 hours duration. This appointment is an in depth look at the patients health concerns. This appointment can be booked at either the Rockwood or Guelph locations.

This is a 90 minute initial visit for naturopathic medicine for Students/Seniors and pediatric patients available at both Absolute Health Science and Rockwood Naturopathic Clinic locations
LED light therapy has been used for the following conditions: - Prevent, repair, and maintain aging skin - Improve acne, dermatitis, rosacea and psoriasis - Wound and scar healing - Reduce wrinkles and dark spots - Boost collagen and elastin production (working to reduce fine lines and wrinkles) - Improve skin tone and texture - Improve blood circulation As this therapy is new to this clinic, we have an introductory price at $35 a session, lasting approximately 20-30 minutes depending on the condition being worked on. The recommendation is to book 2-3 sessions a week for a month, and then once to twice a month for maintenance.
House Call Visit This booking is exclusively for those patients who are immobile and are unable to get to the clinic on their own. **Intravenous therapy, which is a modality utilized at Absolute Health Science, is not a treatment that can be performed outside of the clinic space.**
This booking is for patients who have already had their initial appointment (1 hour assessment) and are looking to have Intravenous therapy. Treatment length can vary from 30 minutes to 3 hours depending on the Intravenous infusion. First time patients need to book a one hour appointment for their first time in order for Dr. Turk to go over the process of IV therapy, assessments and consent forms. If the time you are looking for does not show available for online booking, please call the clinic because there are a few spots available at each hour.
This booking is for Pediatric patients (Children up to age 16), Students (Actively attending school/university/college), and Seniors (retired/over 65 years of age)
This booking is an opportunity for a patient to meet the practitioner prior to booking an appointment to ensure a good fit for what they are looking for in health care.
