The initial assessment is an assessment of the problematic area(s) to make a diagnosis and develop a treatment plan followed by a first treatment. Included in this assessment is: a thorough survey of family / medical history, completion of a physical / orthopedic examination. The physical examination may include gait assessment, postural assessment, range of motion assessment, orthopedic assessment and neurological assessment.

Orthotics are custom-made insoles that can be worn in any type of shoe. This appointment is the first of two appointments. At this appointment a 3-D gait analysis will be completed with a report of findings that will be reviewed with the Chiropractor. This image will be used to create a 3-D casting image in the laboratory with specific corrections made to restore proper skeletal alignment and a level foundation for stance and gait.

A complementary consultation is an excellent introduction to chiropractic and other services that are provided. This is an opportunity for patients to discuss the problematic area and for the practitioner to listen to any concerns or questions the patient may have. This visit will help decide whether you, the patient, feel comfortable proceeding with chiropractic care.
