Dr. Ulrichsen studied Chiropractic at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto following a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Victoria.
Heather believes chiropractic care can improve body movement to help you enjoy your activities without pain or limitation. Whether you are dealing with repetitive strain or acute injuries, Heather offers advanced care by creating customized treatment plans to relieve mechanical stress, treat/prevent injury, and optimize your health. She leverages the combination of a variety of techniques in practice, including Contemporary Medical Acupuncture, Dry Needling, Active Release Techniques (A.R.T), Graston Technique, shockwave therapy, Kinesiotape, joint manipulation, and rehabilitative exercise. Your treatment plan will be tailored to emphasize your personal goals including pain relief, improved function, or optimized performance.
Outside of the clinic Heather enjoys teaching yoga, running, hiking, and being a mom to her two amazing children.

SHOCKWAVE: Extracorporeal shock wave therapy (ESWT for short) is a non-invasive option for the treatment of various pains and diseases of the musculoskeletal system. ESWT has been used successfully in orthopaedic pain therapy since the beginning of the 1990s. Many years of experience prove that certain pathological changes in tendons, ligaments, capsules, muscles and bones can be specifically eliminated with the help of this healing method. Frequently treated conditions include frozen shoulder, tennis elbow and heel pain (plantar fasciitis). The shock waves used are short sound pulses that can penetrate water and soft tissue. The shock waves are generated outside the body (»extracorporeally«) in the handpiece of the device and transmitted into the patient's body by means of ultrasound gel, where they have a targeted effect on the painful areas. ACUPUNCTURE/DRY NEEDLING: Acupuncture/Dry Needling is used to treat a vast number of conditions such as muscular spasm/tension, trigger points sciatica, lower back pain, osteoarthritis of the knee, sprains and strains, whiplash and headaches, as well as neurological and other medical conditions. Acupuncture is especially effective for treating and managing pain. In some cases, acupuncture will bring about quicker or better resolutions of problems and it is an effective complement to standard care.
