Kianna graduated from the University of Victoria with a Bachelor of Science majoring in Kinesiology. She continued her education at the University of Western States where she received her Doctor of Chiropractic degree as well as a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology, completing eight years of study.
Kianna rowed at Victoria City out of Elk Lake and then at the university level. Her first exposure to chiropractic care was after multiple injuries sustained during the sport where she experienced extremely positive results from that care which inspired her pursuit in this field. After completing 5 years with the sport of rowing, her love for fitness continued whether that be inside at the gym or outside hiking, kayaking or golfing.
Due to Kianna’s involvement in sports and her knowledge, she is well trained to help you with injuries that occur from sports, work or daily life. Kianna’s goal is not only to deal with the pain you are experiencing but also to uncover the underlying root of the problem in order to help you understand what is happening with your body. She will work with you to help rehab the problem so that you can get back to enjoying your passions in life.
She understands that every patient is different which is why she utilizes a variety of techniques such as: hands on manipulation, drop table adjustments, instrument assisted adjusting and soft tissue work to find the treatment that best suits your overall goals. Kianna is experienced with providing safe and effective treatments for the neck, back, shoulders, arms, wrists, hips, knees and feet for individuals of any age.
Kianna has her Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology (CSEP) certification which means she’s a certified personal trainer (CPT). Her in depth understanding of the human body complimented with this fitness certification allows her to develop each patient a tailored rehabilitation program to improve your mobility, flexibility, stability, strength and balance to enhance your overall performance.
Kianna is excited to be back in her hometown of Victoria and looks forward to assisting you with pain reduction so you’re able to perform your daily activities and pursue your passions!
