I love being a Chiropractor and helping people improve their quality of life by decreasing pain, increasing their mobility, or both!
I obtained my Doctor of Chiropractic degree from New York Chiropractic College, and it was there that I received extensive training on how to treat patients of all ages and needs.
As a Chiropractor, I believe that proper movement and correct posture are the keys to healthy living. My goal is to provide individualized care using a variety of gentle yet effective chiropractic and soft tissue techniques based on my assessment of each patient's unique needs, from improving one's golf swing to a workday that doesn't result in discomfort.
Outside of my career, I'm passionate about yoga and have an affection for dogs. I also appreciate good music and fine art, having obtained an undergraduate degree in Art and Art History from the University of Toronto.

An experienced Chiropractor does a thorough lower extremity and gait evaluation, manually, and with a computerized gait scanning tool. The results help determine if you need orthotics, which orthotics would best suit you, and if other issues like knee or low back pain are because of your gait/feet. Degenerative lumbar spinal stenosis (DLSS) is a type of spinal osteoarthritis that affects the lower spine, causing narrowing of the spinal canals. This can compress the spinal nerves that travel through the canals to the lower back and legs as pain, burning, numbness, tingling and weakness of the legs, buttock and lower back. The symptoms usually are brought on from standing and walking. **What treatments are currently available?** Surgery is an option for only a minority because of the potential risks involved. It is recommended that before surgery is contemplated, a course of non-surgical treatment is tried first. How will the Boot Camp Program help me? Dr. Ammendolia and his research team have developed an approach with the focus of improving standing and walking ability in patients with LSS. The overall goal of the program is to improve the quality of life and maintain independence. The program combines manual therapy, special exercises, instruction on body re-positioning techniques and self-management strategies. Special exercises help restore weak back and leg muscles and when combined with body alignment strategies, help to reduce the pressure on the compressed nerves when standing and walking.
