**Meet Dr. Maria Parisien, Co-founder/Co-owner**

Dr. Maria is also accepting new pediatric patients, including babies and children. Otherwise, Dr. Taryn or Dr. Rick would be happy to see you.**
Dr. Maria Parisien is an evidence-based chiropractor who uses a combination of techniques to ensure every patient is met with individualized care. With a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of New Brunswick, she also holds a certificate in Functional Integrated Acupuncture. Dr. Maria prides herself on spending quality time with her patients, ensuring they fully understand their conditions and treatment plans.
As a recent mother to a beautiful baby boy, Dr. Maria has developed a deep passion for working with the prenatal and postpartum population, especially after her own journey into motherhood. With additional training in this area, she’s been achieving excellent results. However, her favorite conditions to treat remain headaches and jaw pain—two areas where she has consistently helped patients return to a pain-free life.
Dr. Maria is a member of the New Brunswick Chiropractic Association’s Internal Affairs Committee and leads an active lifestyle through CrossFit, daily walks with her boys, and other outdoor activities. Sometimes when the weather is just right she finds herself enjoying a run every now and again, she is committed to staying physically active!
In her practice, Dr. Maria thrives on empowering patients through education and personalized care. She believes in a team-based approach to health and is an interdisciplinary referrer, always working to ensure her patients have access to comprehensive, well-rounded care.
Dr. Maria loves connecting with Saint Johners and finds joy in helping others move better and live pain-free.
Fun fact: Before her chiropractic career, Dr. Maria spent her summers planting flowers in uptown Saint John (which she absolutely loved!) and running a landscaping company with her sister.

Initial dva acupuncture visit

This 30 minute acupuncture is geared towards the muscles of the face, jaw and neck. If you have not yet seen a chiropractor at this clinic please book an initial assessment. Dr. Taryn uses a combination of acupuncture, soft tissue therapy, and percussion all along the face and neck to help her patients feel rejuvenated. This is a great option if you suffer from tmj dysfunction or headaches!
