Hi! I’m Dr. Melissa M. O’Brien, ND (formerly Dr. Melissa, M. Boulos). Thank you for being here!
As a Naturopathic Doctor, I aim to create a space where you feel genuinely heard and supported in
understanding your health. My approach is evidence-informed, collaborative, and grounded in clear
communication. I work with you to make sense of your symptoms, explore your options, and build a
path forward that aligns with your goals. I’m passionate about taking the time to explain the why behind
symptoms and treatment choices, so you feel informed and confident in your care.
In addition to my general naturopathic practice, I have a clinical interest in working with individuals who
have cancer risk factors, who are prioritizing prevention, or who are aiming to maintain or restore their
health before, during, or after treatment. My work includes supporting patients with routine, wellness,
and treatment-related effects. As an ND, my role is not to treat or cure cancer or replace conventional
oncology care, but rather to provide complementary, supportive care, with an emphasis on lifestyle,
nutrition, and quality of life, while collaborating closely with oncology and medical teams.
My broader practice includes a strong focus on digestive health, supporting individuals with concerns
such as IBS, chronic constipation, bloating, and nutrition-related issues. I also frequently work with
patients seeking support for hormonal health, acne and skin concerns, sleep, stress, metabolic health,
and overall welling. A key part of my approach is developing highly personalized treatment plans that
reflect your lifestyle, preferences, and capacity. Every patient’s experience is unique, and I work closely
with you to create clear, step-by-step strategies that feel practical, adaptable, and aligned with your
needs.
As a Naturopathic Doctor, I strive to follow the principles of Naturopathic Medicine and practice within
the ethical scope defined by the College of Naturopaths of Ontario (CONO). My recommendations are
guided by current research, clinical guidelines, and a commitment to safe, evidence-informed care.
I look forward to learning about your health journey and hope we can work together to support your
health and wellness goals.
