Dr. Merhaweet Sahlezghi was born and raised in Vancouver, BC. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences at Simon Fraser University in 2019, following two years of collegiate-level soccer in Oregon. She earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree with honors from Palmer College of Chiropractic West in 2024.
A lifelong athlete, Merhaweet’s deep involvement in sports has shaped her strong understanding of the neuromuscular and skeletal systems. Her practice is rooted in promoting optimal function and mobility through individualized, evidence-based chiropractic care.
Merhaweet brings extensive hands-on clinical experience in treating the spine, extremities, and other musculoskeletal areas. Her integrative treatment approach includes a variety of techniques such as:

Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM)
She is also trained in Functional and Kinetic Treatment with Rehab (FAKTR) and is a proud member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA). Through the ICPA, she is certified in the Webster Technique, which supports the physical well-being of women during pregnancy and throughout the postpartum period.
Merhaweet is passionate about working with people from all backgrounds and strives to empower her patients to reach their full potential—whether recovering from injury, managing chronic pain, or maintaining peak performance.
