Dr. Michael’s passion is in treating chronic pain and getting patients back to a pain-free
lifestyle. With his own history of a severe back condition and chronic back pain, Dr. Michael is
all too familiar with the damage chronic pain can do to one’s physical and mental health. By
first identifying the root cause of dysfunction, Dr. Michael focuses on aiding the body’s inherent
self-healing abilities through the use of nutraceutical supplementation, dietary optimization,
precision lab testing, prolotherapy, acupuncture, and advanced injection therapies such as trigger point
therapy and therapeutic nutrient injections. He also has a keen interest in the areas of
metabolic disease, thyroid disease, hormonal health, and cardiovascular health.
Dr. Michael graduated from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine - Vancouver as a
Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine and previously graduated from the University of Victoria with
an Honours degree and a Bachelors in Chemistry for Medical Sciences. Dr. Michael also works
as the head of Research and Development for True Protocols, a health and performance
company focused in providing high quality nutraceutical supplements and educational material
designed to optimize healthy living on an individual level.
Outside of practice, Dr. Michael is a bookworm and an avid athlete who loves golfing, hockey,
